My first purchase of the day were sat in the window of the Cancer Research shop. My new shoes. Yum yum! Beutiful red faux leather flat shoes with the cutest flowers. £4.
I also found a rose/floral doormat hiding under a shelf. It cost me £10 (they buy some items in and that was one of them) but I love it! Its now at my front door ready to give my visitors a warm welcome.
I then went into a local private cancer shop - I like them better as the profits go to local organisations and you get way better bargains!I found a mother of pearl trio photo frame and 2 MOP votive teal light holders all for £1!!! As I was away to walk out of the shop I turned round and glanced at a bag of which the contents caught my eye.... a pair of Toile de Jouy Curtains long enough for our Victorian sash windows! AND a toile dejouy book/shopper bag. I only paid £2 for the lot. I was delighted.
I hope all you thrifters have been as lucky as I have in the past while.
I have also been a bit naughty on Ebay and have been ourchasing some floral fabrics to make things from. My friend and potential business partner Judith and I are thinking of having a little shop in our village selling our wares. Unfortunately, I've lead her down the slippery slope of Ebay. Its so addictive. Its not Good!
Finally, good luck to all those with stands at the Country Living Fair this week AND ESPECIALLY to those who are going to be at the Scottish CL Fair of which I will be visiting. And one day, maybe just one day will have a stand at.
